CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!!! (and you can't stop it Jeff)

Gingerbread cookies, and presents, and an excuse to spend lots of money shopping, and parties, and FAMILY parties (which are a whole other genre --my favorite), and did I mention TREATS, and decorations, and Christmas carols on the radio (24 hours a day for me all through December --even the sappy ones --I love 'em), and church music programs. It's all coming, and as much as Jeff moans and groans, he can't stop it or even slow it down. "you always need something to stress about" he says, and he's right, but this is my FAVORITE stuff to stress about! I even bought my Christmas tree today. I got skunked last year because I waited too long, and the big ones were all sold, so I jumped on it this year.

Isn't it pretty? Pre-lit, and 12 feet tall. Bye bye personal money for a month and a half, but it's worth it. Stunning. Stunning. I've got to have something big in my front window, because both Jeff and I refuse to climb our Matterhorn of a roof to put up lights. "I choose life". (Although I wish HE'D be braver).

Looks like you need some more practice on the cookies. Better bring those ones over here and make a few more batches just to make sure you get it right!!

How did you get to liking Christmas so much with a ba-humbuggy mom?

I'm excited, too. I just don't know if my pants have room for me attend the eat-fest family parties.

But your tree. The tree is gorgeous.

We've alreay started pumping the Christmas music (pandora). Yeah for your tree! I've always wanted a front window "our tree is better than yours" placement. Although, if you looked twice you'd see ours resembles more of the Charlie Brown tree. My kids rearrange all the ornaments and then the boys haul out the action figures and play in the newly created Sherwood Forest. I pick action figures out of the tree that have been hiding from the evil Sherrif of Nottingham right up until that dang tree is in the box- sometimes I find "guys" summering over when I set the tree up... crazy. Christmas is a good stress.
